Growth

At Stocksfield Avenue we want our community to grow. We want our pupils to grow in their learning and in their character. We want them to grow and flourish as individuals and as part of the wider community. Above all else, we want our pupils to grow in curiosity as life-long learners and grow into fantastic young people and adults, who care for and respect each other and the wider community. As staff we aim to continually grow, ensuring that our own love of learning never stops, and we are continuously and consciously building on our knowledge and skills in an ever-changing world.

Respect

Respect is at the very heart of our school community. We pride ourselves on the mutual respect that is evident between all members of the school community, knowing that everyone is different but everyone is equal. Children are taught about difference, and our school community welcome and embrace diversity in its fullest, celebrating people from all different aspects of life. Pupils learn about British Values, the Equality Act, and the importance of becoming a good, respectful citizen in our local community and in modern Britain.

Determination

The importance of hard work and determination is of the upmost importance within school. We teach children the importance of perseverance, hard work and ‘not giving up’, and the success that it brings. Challenges are embraced and welcomed, and we aim for our children to develop confidence, independence and resilience in readiness for the next stage of their lives and their education. As staff we are ambitious for our pupils and are determined that pupils receive the very best education, both academically and personally.
