Holocaust Memorial 2021
A group of year 5 children have worked extremely hard to learn to sing and sign the song 'Be a Beacon in the Darkest Night'. They were able to learn the sign as part of a lunchtime group but due to current concerns about singing groups in school, practised the singing in the safety of their own home. The music room at Stocksfield was converted into a film studio for a morning in December to allow for the filming and recording to take place before a professional team edited the final song.
The song was created and recorded as part of Newcastle City Council’s Holocaust Memorial Event for 2021.
